Cut Out & Partial Cut Out

Partial Cutout

1. Boomerang
2. Date: 4/26/09, Time: 8:00 pm
3. Location: My apartment, f8
4. Shutter Speed, 1/125, Canon 7d
For my full cutout I wanted to take a picture that wasn't very creative but show that with editing you can crop out backgrounds to make a useful picture.

1. Horse
2. Date 4/26/09, Time: 6:45 pm
3. On a random road in Rexburg, f4.5
4. Shutter Speed, 1/125, Canon 7d
5. Levels

The horse picture I thought turned out well although I found it hard to cut out his hair (its kind of long and fuzzy). I didn't choose the best picture to cut out but I thought it still turned out well.

  2. I like how crisp the boomerang is when you made it a cut out it was a great example. It looked like it was actually taken that way, I was surprised to see that it was a couch in the background.
The second shot is very nice. the horse it the background looked nice but when it was cut out it put more emphasis on the horse that is the focal point.

  3. Nice job on the cut outs. I think that the boomerang was a great demonstration of this assignment. It would be a great one to put up on a stock photo place. I also thought that the picture of the horse was awesome because of the composition. Plus with the bokeh with the horse in the background.

  4. The boomerang looks really good with that white background. It really catches your eye. You could use that cutout for a bunch of things since it is a really nice, crisp picture.
